Vocabulary

I did a SAT practice test and I’m satisfied with my math (probably more
then 750), but I’m so bad in the critical reading (I haven’t answer even half
of the questions). I think that I’m bad because of my weak vocabulary,
there are so many words that are new for me. So I think that I should enrich
my vocabulary in order to get better in the critical reading and writing sections.

What do you think is the best way for learning new words in a limited time.
In the Baron’s book there are something like 100 pages with words, and I’m not
sure what is the best way to learn them (in 1 month).

I saw a lot of words from this book on the SATs, and its really not too long

I have a book called Word Smart, and it has the words most likely to be on the SAT, along with tips for learning and memorizing new words, like mnemonic devices and stuff like that. Putting the words into context, associating them with things that are relevant and that you already know, etc. I don’t have the Barron’s book so I don’t know if they have memorization tips. If not, then I’d get another one. 100 pages of words would make most people go insane!
