So, I’ve been wanting to sing Beauty’s aria (“All that I ask is one red rose”)from Vittorio Giannini’s one act opera Beauty and the Beast for some time, but I have no idea where to find it! I was hoping some of the vocalists here might have some information about where I could track it down. I would GREATLY appreciate it.

There is a Belwin Mills edition, but I believe it is generally only available as a rental. Their distributor Schott / European American Music also makes individual scores available to those who are considering producing a performance and to people who want it for scholarly use. You could try going to [EAMDLLC :: Vittorio Giannini - Beauty and the Beast](http://www.eamdllc.com/work_details.cfm?id=519) and clicking on “Perusal Score” to see if you can convince them to loan you one for a while. If so, you should realize that you would be getting an orchestral score, not a piano reduction.

Another thought: It is also possible that you might find a copy in the library of a good music school or opera company.

Where do you live? Are you close to one of the major conservatories…where there might be a score in the opera library? Might it be in the library of MT people? Good luck!

[Beauty and the beast, an opera in one act. [WorldCat.org]](<a href=“Beauty and the beast, an opera in one act | WorldCat.org”>Beauty and the beast, an opera in one act | WorldCat.org)

type in your zipcode and it will tell you the closest library that has the score. I saw Yale and Juilliard both have it in my area.

Also try Glendower Jones - he’s wonderful and can usually get anything you need:
[Classical Vocal Repertoire - Home of Classical Vocal Reprints: sheet music for singers, shipped worldwide](http://www.classicalvocalrep.com/CVR-II/main.html)

Since Giannini is a 20th century composer, this is not going to help you, but it is a great resource for vocalists: www.shubertline.co.uk. You can buy single pieces of music (and transpose if needed) as well as purchase a subscription which allows you to download whatever you want.

Good luck finding your piece: the advice above is excellent.

My D’s school music library has it - I assume most would, but it will be the orchestral score. I imagine Glendower Jones will be able to get it for you.
