Volleyball official visits

With women’s volleyball being a fall sport, what is the usual timing of official visits?

I know some of the high ranked recruits sign early and might never take an official visit, but what about the mid range player?

My D is a rising senior. The D3 coach approached her in Feb and we visited in April. A verbal offer from the head coach was made at the overnight visit and D is her top recruit. I hope this helps.

You are are not allowed to have an official visit until after your first day of classes of your senior year. Combine that with the NLI signing date of the second week of November for volleyball means that the vast majority of official visits occur in September and October of Sr. year.

I don’t think you are correct with regard to D3 @Dreadpirit

I know someone doing D3 and NAIA visits this coming week.

@BrownParent Yes I believe D3 and NAIA do not have the same rules. I was asking about DII and should have specified that. Thanks.

OK I guess I was wrong about D3 anyway. They and NAIA have unlimited visits though.

BrownParent, students can, and do, visit during the summer. Meet with the coach, take tours, etc., but they aren’t official visits unless the school pays for the things you linked to. Those summer visits can seem very official but aren’t.
