volunteer opportunities in Russian speaking countries?

I am a high school senior and have decided to take a gap year next year to do community service abroad. I am fluent in Russian and would love to do something in a Russian-speaking country. I have worked with children in several different organizations, and would be interested in applying that experience. Finally, I am looking for something that would not be terribly expensive. I would love any advice on organizations or options.

Their life is VERY rural and simple, not everyone can enjoy it.

I decided to look what’s going on in Russia with volunteering and charity organizations and found a very interesting option which is considered volunteering.

They are looking for international teams in 2007. VERY INEXPENSIVE  and quite unique.

Have you looked into AFS? They do community service overseas as well as h.s. foreign exchange. AFS is a wonderful organization. I think you have to be 18 for the communty service trips.
