<p>This would not hurt you at all if it is something you are interested in go for it.</p>
<p>Your post isn't in the right forum, but to answer your question: Of course colleges won't discriminate against you based on where you volunteer. Community service in general is viewed positively, as it shows you're involved in your community and enjoy helping others. Go for it.</p>
