<p>Just curious, where does everyone volunteer? Why do you volunteer in that particular organization and how do you get started?</p>
<p>I volunteer at Iolani Palace in Honolulu. I’ve been volunteering since my sophomore year of high school. When I was touring with my grandparents, I saw a form and filled it out, then forgot about it. The next day, the volunteer coordinator called me, and I’ve been volunteering ever since:)<br>
Oh, and I do it because I love history (history major!), and Iolani is the only official royal residence in the United States…its an amazing opportunity and I wouldn’t trade it for anything:)</p>
<p>I volunteer at the local children’s hospital. I wanted to volunteer in a hospital I simply looked up the volunteer websites for all the hospitals in my area and they had a vacancy. So I turned in an application and in a couple of months they signed me up for a regular shift. In hindsight, I’m really glad it ended up being a children’s hospital. though, just because of the patient-centered environment.</p>
