Voter registration help

So I filled out the registration formed and mailed it September 20th, and it had to be post marked by October 6th. I called the board of electors, and they stated that they never received my form, and I can’t vote. I triple checked the address and information, everything was correct. They said I could cast a provisional ballot, but that seems rather useless since it takes a lot of time to even get to a polling station(RTA) with my schedule when they will likely deny my ballot anyways, or not even count it.
Anything I can do?

That is sad. I would try to cast a provisional ballot if you can work it out. You could see if there is anyone at your school working with voter registration and see if they can help you. Call the board of electors again, ask the same question, and then ask them to fax you a copy of their response with a legible name at the bottom. At least if there is any monkey business going on, you will have names and dates to back you up should you need to file a post election complaint. At this point, it is just you, but perhaps it is happening to groups of people.

Four years ago I remember not getting my absentee ballot in the mail until the day after they were due to be postmarked to go back to my home district. Republican from a republican district, so I doubt there were any shenanigans going on on that front; I imagine it was just the USPS doing business as usual.

Funny story(except not). I called them(BOE) twice. The second time was a very long conversation, but I wasn’t rude. It ended with them saying I wasn’t registered and to get a provisional ballot. A few ours later I re checked my status online, and magically I was registered…
