Hi. I’m interested in pursuing a career in writing/journalism (which Columbia does not have a major in - what would I do in that situation btw?) or law. I really love CC, but I’m wondering if you could compare these schools - one for pre-law (polysci) and one for journalism/writing, and one for both of them. Thanks so much!

Thanks so much!

You don’t need an undergraduate journalism major, just major in English. As far as your list of schools, just chill out. First off, you should not attend an undergraduate liberal arts school because it’s “good for [career]”; you should attend it because it’s a good fit for you, academically, intellectually, socially, and spiritually. The Ivies, Stanford, Tufts, and the Seven Sisters are radically different schools; they cannot be evaluated and differentiated solely on the basis of their English and Political Science programs.
