Hi!

I’d really appreciate it if someone chance me for VTech! I’d really love to go there if possible!

Here are my stats:

3.64 weighted* (I’m planning to get straight As in first quarter of senior year so I don’t know if it will help…)
Classes:
IB English II HL

IB <insert language=“” here=“”> II SL
Journalism
IB Math Studies SL
I apologize for being slightly vague as I’m not entirely keen on having anyone find out about my awful GPA.</insert>

Extracurriculars:
Octagon Club (an organization similar to Key Club), Earth Force, newspaper, tennis classes, voice, piano, Photo Club, National Art Honor Society (for one year…I had to make a choice between IB Art I and journalism and I decided that I liked writing more), Newseum Volunteer, Students Against Animal Cruelty Club, Biology Club, <insert language=“” here=“”> Club</insert>

Leadership:
Lead Crew: Publicity assistant and artist (for a theatre production), editor for newspaper (again I apologize for being vague but I don’t really want to show this off to anyone)

*So here’s what happened in my junior year: my grandfather passed away, and it was rough on the entire family, and while my grandfather was still alive in the hospital, my mom left to go back to her hometown for nearly a month and returned, only to go back later for another month because he was transferred to the ICU.

So during those few months I spent a lot of time trying to comfort my mom and trying to balance schoolwork at the same time because I wanted to be there for her, but at the same time I was unable to stay after school because my dad is a workaholic so I couldn’t stay after school for help. What was even worse was that my mom left again to attend the funeral, which I wasn’t able to go to thanks to the giant load of schoolwork I had.

Should I mention this in my college essay somewhere? I don’t know where I should mention it because I really feel like that event impacted my GPA at the most crucial year of my life and I really want to prove that I am a good student.
