W&M, no hope?

Here is my problem, I got an A.S. with a 3.5 GPA, then was pushed into a dental hygiene program by family and advisers, realized my suspicions that it is not for me were true and withdrew while having some medical issues. However, I received 3 f’s and now my GPA is a 3.0…

My dream is to do research at W&M, but do I have any hope of getting in or is all lost because of my bad choice?

Any suggestions that might make me stand or or be more competitive?

Should I give up? The advisers that pushed me into dental now tell me that they don’t take transfers under a 3.6 GPA and to go elsewhere…

Feeling heartbroken. :(

I would try retaking the courses that you failed, but W&M will look at you if you try! Good luck!

Thank you for your positive attitude lexieam!

You can not retake the classes, as you must be in the program to access them. I read that William & Mary include the original grades when factoring GPA anyways… Should I spend a year taking languages and what I think they might like to see? My GPA will still not be repaired even if I made all A’s…

bump

I really want to know if I have any chance, suggestions, ideas???
