<p>Would you need to notify the UCs if you get a W in a course you don’t need for units, igetc or major?</p>

<p>Think about it this way:</p>

<p>If you report it, nothing negative can happen. It doesn’t effect your GPA, it’s not a pre-req for your major and it’s not a course you are using to satisfy IGETC.</p>

<p>If you do NOT report it, nothing positive can happen and UC’s could look at this as something you were trying to cover up. They expect you to *pass<a href=“i.e.%20receive%20a%20grade%20of%20C%20or%20better”>/I</a> in all of the classes you listed on your UC application update.</p>

<p>I’m sure that this will make no difference in your admission decisions but you absolutely should report it.</p>
