W.P. Carey School of Business Computer choice--Mac or PC

I am ready to purchase a laptop for college, I will be majoring in Business Law and possibly Economics while also minoring in Psychology. I’ve heard that PC software is preferred for the necessary programs at ASU’s W.P. Carey School of Business, however, so far I have preferred the features and mobility of Macbooks. I heard that you can partition a Mac’s internal hard drive with a virtual Windows operating system in order to meet both the perks of a Macbook and the accessibility to Windows based programs. If you have done this before can you let me know of any problems you ran into or even just how easy or difficult it was to do?

you can either install Windows on mac by using Bootcamp or run it virtual ( you start in mac and run pc inside of mac.)

some of the intro computer couses i took needed pc machine to do online homework, but it won’t be much problem.

if you prefer os x… and macbook air 13, i say go for it because windows 8 feels very confusing to me.
