My financial aid department has asked for my W2’son. But I file with H&R block… would they have put them in my folder? If not then I don’t have them… what do I do then? I have given them my taxes like they wanted with all my information already 4 times.
Yes, they would have given them back to you. If not, you can ask for a copy.
H &R block should have given you ALL of your W-2 forms and YOUR copy of your tax return back to you.
You may need to contact your employer from 2015 (that is the year you need for this year for financial,aid applications) and request a duplicate copy.
It is typically the practice for your HR-Block broker to staple the w2 to the front of the packet of forms as the first of the forms. You will find it after the two receipt pages in front.
If you do not find it in your packet the you can either ask for a photocopy of it which they keep on file, or you can go to your employer for a copy. Many companies nowadays have a website for employees to go to where they can log in and download a PDF file and print it out.
