Wacky consequences

I can’t really go into details - because what happens in Ptown is supposed to stay in Ptown - but everyone needs to be aware that when you start posting on CC, you may be heading down road that will lead to unusual and totally unexpected life experiences. Caveat poster.

Well, my curiosity is certainly piqued. Can’t we have a hint?

I would say that everyone needs to be aware that when you start posting on CC, the odds are excellent that someone you know IRL is doing the same thing, and there could certainly be consequences to that.

Annasdad - did you get the email too? About the CC wormhole? I didn’t believe it at first. I thought they said not to say anything.

Synchronicity at work? Do tell what happened, AnnasDad!

Now you did it! It was even memorable for the flatwacks!

What is a flatwhack? I feel stupid that I don’t know:)

It’s called…a f-l-a-t-w-a-c-k. It was in the email.

thumper1 - we must have missed the memo. I just hope it was fun for OP.

Hehe. I wish I could have been there!

There were two emails — one to the regular account registered with CC, then another one I got on my work email. I’m not saying you should have received it or anything – I’m sorry if it came across that way.

I didn’t say it was UNPLEASANT, just unusual and unexpected. As someone who has no dignity left to maintain, I had a blast! But YMMV.

A-dad – it’s ok – you’re here now. See? All your friends are here? There’s thumper, and oldfort, and over in the corner, Xiggi (wave Xiggi). And vonlost and MaineLonghorn are going to take to you to a nice place to rest. With a full meal plan and need-based financial aid. So you’ll be ok now, right? Nod your head. That’s it.

Thanks, 2015, but if it’s all the same to you, I’d rather have a frontal lobotomy. Without anesthesia.

No idea what you all are talking about, but immensely entertaining.

I got the email too, and it was hard finding the code at first. Then I looked up at 2 am, as it said, and there it was on the ceiling.

Good for you, annasdad. Don’t settle–hold out for some merit money.

A close friend even suggested it might lead to a second career for me!

What a tease.

It’s not! It’s not a tease! NYMom got it too!

annasdad – it wasn’t that bad, right? They said “the procedure will feel no worse than a really bad parent-teacher conference.” I mean, some people would need an epidural for that, but not me.

Stern teacher: “Here is some of your son’s recent work.” AAAAAAHHHHHHHHH!!!

I actually had a little bit of a situation with a different online community when I realized that my boss and I were friends (of a sort) there.
