<p>Could someone please summarize what the Waco massacre in 1993 was all about? I’ve been reading about it, but I don’t quite get it…</p>
<p>The so called Branch Davidian’s, a religious cult of sorts, believed that the apocalypse was going to be brought about by government intervention. The ATF was going to raid there complex due to suspicions of illegal firearms and such. Eventually the FBI got involved and they basically sieged the complex. The branch dividian’s apparently thought the apocalypse was upon them. Some say they started the fire, others say the FBI did. In any case, the complex burned to the ground along with all of the people inside. </p>
