Anyone have any of their items? I got this ( [Amazon.com: Waechtersbach Nesting Bowls, Set of 6, Assorted Colors: Kitchen & Dining](http://www.amazon.com/Waechtersbach-Nesting-Bowls-Assorted-Colors/dp/B001KVZZVC/ref=sr_1_1?s=kitchen&ie=UTF8&qid=1292811310&sr=1-1) ) set of bowls for Christmas this year (my best friend and I exchanged early) and they look so nice. I love the set. Their plates and such look so nice but everything seems a bit pricy to me. Does anyone have any of their stuff or has anyone used it before? If so, worth the price? Opinions?

Wow! Beautiful stuff! And wow! Horrifying price!

I have an ancient set of four nesting pyrex mixing bowls that are just like the ones my mom used. Unlike the Waechtersbach’s, mine can’t go through the dishwasher because it will ruin the finish. So maybe the ones you have would be worth the expense after all.

I have Waechtersbach Christmas mugs, the first two of which DH and I bought our first Christmas together thirty years ago. I added more mugs and bowls when I could buy them half off after Christmas and then bought a dozen red plates that I use year round. (They are great for Valentine’s Day, 4th of July and with Chinese food. :)) The colors are brilliant and I enjoy using them.

Our grocery stores stock their mugs and things intermittently & I have purchased a few over the years- but we are ( ok me- +H) are fairly klutzy, & I don’t think they have proved to be as durable as I would hope.

If you really like their stuff you might shop around.

or I expect Macys will have a blowout sale after christmas.

I think this is really cool: [Amazon.com: Waechtersbach Skull Mug and Cereal Set, Black: Home & Garden](http://www.amazon.com/Waechtersbach-Skull-Mug-Cereal-Black/dp/B0047T6KUE/ref=sr_1_28?s=home-garden&ie=UTF8&qid=1292871555&sr=1-28)

The set of mixing bowls that she got me are just plain gorgeous. The colors are so vibrant, and they match my kitchen perfectly. I was so shocked when I looked up matching things online and saw the price of them. I have Corelle plates that have a bright pattern on them, so I think I may just go with them. It’s all the same color scheme. Plus I think my plates are pretty much unbreakable and I can just see myself dropping those and shattering them, lol! I think their cereal bowls are adorable though… I may have to buy myself some of them!

I’m not familiar with that brand, but it reminds me of the nesting bowls Crate & Barrel sells for much less money. [Set of 5 Parker Bowls | Crate&Barrel](http://www.crateandbarrel.com/kitchen-and-food/mixing-bowls/set-of-5-parker-bowls/s658173)

I’ve never heard of this brand before. I was bowled over by the beauty of the mixing bowls, but my eyes popped at the price. Like everyone else!

Lots of this stuff on Ebay.

I haven’t seen this name in YEARS. When I first got out of college (back when the dinos roamed) I had a set of red christmas mugs with christmas trees on them. I had them for a LONG time before they all either disappeared or broke. They were very durable and pretty.

I left earlier today to go shopping with dd but loved this thread - so glad others are remembering their post-college mugs - I started with the red heart mug - then added the white with red heart - then the ice cream cone…so fun to remember them all…

Yup I’ve got two weaknesses Waechtersbach red and the Mary Hadley skiers. Started with the Christmas mugs after college for the Waechtersbach and sometime in high school with the Hadley. You can get deals on the Waechtersbach afer Christmas and on ebay.

My BF would LOVE their tea pots that I saw on Amazon. Too bad he has one already. If something ever happens to the one he has I’m replacing it with the red one!

I currently have the glass pyrex mixing bowls with the different color lids on them. They are stacked up on my wine rack/buffet server and look really nice there. I don’t like the look of those Crate & Barrel ones at all but that’s just me. I’m into the bright colors for my kitchen. (It’s literally bright yellow, haha!) I was a little taken aback by the price of them but I didn’t buy it for myself so if that’s what they wanted to give me then that’s what they wanted to give me, haha! The bowls were the gift from her and her hubby, their kids gave me something else. They look so nice and I have the perfect spot for them. Price wise, I wound up spending about the same amount on them but divided up between my friend, her hubby and their two kids. They got something like 10 gifts for the price of my two, haha! Funny how things like that work out sometimes.
