My daughter received notice of her status -wait list -on April 8.
Is prep school an option at this time? The letter said she is fully qualified and placed on the National Wait list. Is it time to enact plan B ?

She may want to check to see where she falls on the NWL. She might be able to get this info from Admissions. Also, she can let them know that she would be interested in USMAPS or a civil prep option. Good luck!

She, more than likly, would have been notified by now if she was receiving a Civil Prep slot. I received mine in March last year.

she should contact her admissions officer and ask where she stands on the wait list. They are very straightfoward, you may not like the answer, but they will tell you where you stand on the list and if they think its likely or not…best of luck!

MOT, once a candidate has been placed on the NWL, it means they’ve been found fully qualified, therefore, USMAPS is not an option since it is a school to prepare those not found academically proficient upon their initial application. Civil prep could be an option, however, I believe, as army2005 has stated, most have been already sent out.

Definitely call her admissions officer if ‘plan B’ might have to be initiated, it can’t hurt. I’ve been calling/bothering my admissions officer every morning for the past week :-).

Good luck.

Last year after I was notified that i recieved, they also told me i was still on the NWL. I dunno about USMAPS, but every year there are a few civil preps that get off the waiting list and dont have to go to prep school…unfortunatly (spelling) i wasnt one of them last year.

swimboy,

Thanks for the clarification.
