<p>Unless you have a connection (think rich alum) you missed when applying, now’s the time to dust him off. The waitlisted legacies will be howling at adcoms. Coaches will be banging on their door. Development candidates parent’s writing checks, it’s hard. </p>
<p>Hang in there and let the school know they’re your number 1 (don’t lie, adcoms all know each other) but get comfortable with another option too.</p>
