So I received a letter from SAIS today asking if I would be willing to stay on the waitlist. I knew getting into SAIS would be a stretch, but now that I’ve been waitlisted, I want to make the best of it.

During the regular admissions process, I was living in Taiwan. I didn’t have the opportunity to come in to all of the universities to which I applied for interviews. Now that I’m stateside and I’ll be going up to Washington for the SIS orientation (where I’ll otherwise be going) in mid-April, I’m thinking of trying to get an interview with someone in admissions.

Does anyone know if this will be possible/helpful? The letter says that the SAIS waitlist is not ranked, and the admissions committee will reconvene in June to go back though all of the waitlist applications. I figured I could add an interview to my application.
