<p>why does deerfield wait-list so many people?</p>
<p>No idea…I thought that SPS would have more waitlisted people since so many applied this year? I’m guessing, though, that Deerfield probably rejected less people. Maybe, but I’m not sure since I didn’t apply there. Maybe someone else can help out here?</p>
<p>Are you basing the notion that Deerfield waitlisted a lot of people just on the fact that 14 cc’ers indicated that they are waitlisted there? If that is your basis, it may not be a valid conclusion, since those who post here a not a random sample. Maybe people who apply to Deerfield are more likely to post here, so you will end up with the false impression that Deerfield has a long waitlist.</p>

Maybe I found out through different ways, so don’t end up with the false impression that that is the way I got my impression…deerfield does, in fact, have a huge wait-list this year.</p>
