Waiting, Hoping, Wondering

DS has been accepted to:

North Carloina State University - College of Engineering (Waiting on scholarship results).

University of South Carolina - College of Engineering (Waiting on Honors College and scholarship results).

University of Alabama, Honors, 50% scholarship - Safety Valve UA - Honors Eng / Poly Si.

Looking to get into engineering for PENN ST and have not heard back yet. Just got an email saying he would hear from the Honors college in March.

Stats:
SAT:29 COMP, M-32, V-31
Cum GPA:3.89
Rank:top 15%
NHS
Varsity Club
Other stats: AP, Honors, Doubled up on science classes over the past 4 years, 8 varsity letters, Captain of one sport and Co-captain of another sport. 200+ hours of community and school activity service. And well you all know the rest.

Any thoughts on why he may not have heard yet on engineering or just acceptance?

I think you mean ACT composite not SAT. There doesn’t seem to be a rhyme or reason to when people hear back from admissions - up and downside of rolling. I’m sure he’ll get into the engineering school, I don’t know about Schreyer, its really competitive.

Nice one, that was a moment of not paying attention.

Yes, ACT!!

Thank you for picking up on that! I was a little surprised over the honors invite myself. They sent him several emails asking for him to apply. At first he was not going to do it because he was spent on all the essays he had written. After a couple of weeks of them sending emails and having time to digress he figured it would not hurt.

Cheers!!
