Waiting List

What are the odds of getting off of the wl for the fall semester? I believe that 300 students are on it.

Click on the graphic. 202 were waitlisted at Berkeley.

For what it’s worth, my son was one of those out of staters who was accepted. However, what we didn’t understand before he applied was that there is little or no financial aid available, especially to the upper middle class.
We have an EFC of $25K, but Berkeley feels we should come up with the entire OOS cost of around $50K. It ain’t happening, so good luck to whoever comes off the waiting list to take his spot.
I guess I understand that UC doesn’t want to give away the money of the California taxpayers to people from other states, but I wish that was made clear before he bothered applying.

I hope this gives hope to those of you on the wait list, because I bet there are a lot of families like us.
