Waiting on Loans

When does the Fed Loan show up on your student bill?
As of right now, the bill says the total amount owed, does the
school wait until the money from the govt had been disbursed?

You should see everything on Albert. If you are concerned about paying on time, speak with the Bursar. They will know if the money is coming weeks prior to the outstanding balance changing on the website.

If you log into your ALbert you will see your loans as a negative transaction. On my Albert is shows my tuition and housing as positive expenses that I owe and then there is a list of scholarships, work study and loans that are negative amounts. At the bottom it shows if you are either negative money or positive money (aka: owe more or get a return). If you dont see your loans in Albert then there might be a problem. Hopefully you completed your promisary notes and recieved your accepted loan amounts in letter form via the mail. Check Albert and if something is wrong, call the school… they can give you an extention or help you figure it out. Nobody on this board can help you as much as an NYU employee.

You need to watch the videos on the Fin Aid NYU websitte answers the questions to formally accept your responsibility for repayment of loans. Then loans show up next day.

Wow thanks for all the advice… it showed up on my brothers bill but now hes got to do some question-air for Galatian and he said he cant register for classes till that’s done, I guess he should call transfer admissions to see whats up…
