So on the waitlist reply letter, there is a section on the bottom that requests additional information to help the Committee of Undergraduate Admissions. Does anyone have any advice on properly using that section? (Example, are there certain things that would be extremely helpful in getting off the waitlist?)

Dan??? Can You Help Us???

You’re welcome to put in whatever you want, but not having ‘additional information’ is fine, and WILL NOT hurt you.

If you don’t have anything you’d like to add to you application, then treat that question in a similar manner to how you ought to treat the “Why Tufts?” question on the supplement. In a sentence or two or three (no more than that should be needed), just tell us if/how you are still excited about Tufts.

You’ve got enough to do in your senior year, don’t stress about that little part.

I don’t think you can do anything in particular that will help you get off the waitlist; as I’ve said before, the waitlist - if it will be used - will be used to fill holes in the class. If it just so happens that they’re missing people like you, they’ll take you. All you can do is give them a good picture of you, and if it happens that that’s what they’re missing, then great. If not, there’s nothing you can do and you shouldn’t worry about it :)
