Mine doing this too. Guessing it means they are done pulling off waitlist.

They do seem to be extra focused on checking certain boxes lately, although thereās not a lot of rhyme or reason for some of the decisions. And they said legacy would count more, sigh. Good luck to your boy.
Thanks so much. I really think Uof SC was the right place for him anyway and he got in state tuition so we are paying less than it would have cost to go to VT, They are way ahead of the curve already sending out housing assignments and scheduling virtual orientation.
Hereās another Roanoke Times article that references the waitlist as well as the drop in international enrollment.
The waitlist is still open, they closed the portal down for maintenance. I called admissions and they encourage people to keep checking their emails for any status changes.
@rbc2018 That article makes it sound like since they already offered 4000 spots to people on the waitlist they are wrapping things up 
I guess the 900+ spots for in state have already been filled
@hopefulhokie24 - I agree with you. Even the waitlist process is still open, chance to get off waitlist is rather slim at this point especially for those popular majors.
just got the official email that waitlist is closed. Congratulations to all the admitted Hokies c/o 2024. For now my DS will be a Captain!!
Canāt believe Iāve held out hope for Tech since December. If I had applied to any other school except engineering I wouldnāt be in. I doubt NC State will come through, but this is never the life I envisioned myself living.
Sorry to hear you didnāt get in. What is your Plan B?
It will all work out for the best - its more about how you apply yourself in college then the college you go to ā¦ remember that! And if for some reason you find yourself still desiring VT ā¦there is always the transfer option.
