I’m a bit unsure here. So I was waitlisted at my top choice. A HADES school’s website says that it is common to accept a place(and pay the deposit) at a school you have definite acceptence from from and still stay on their waitlist.

This is my top choice but I feel it’s a bit unethical to accept a place somewhere else when I might back out of it at the last moment.

I don’t really want to give up my place at X school so I might, possibly, maybe get an acceptance off school Y’s waitlist.

What should I do and what are you in a similar situation planning on doing?
