Waitlist Letter Revision

So I just got wait listed from LMU and in their letter they want a letter notifying them whether or not i still want to be considered off the wait list letter. I wrote my letter but i don’t know if i should add anything more or take out anything. This is my letter so if anyone can tell me what i should revise will help very much!!

Dear Director of Admissions,
I would like to sincerely thank the Undergraduate Admissions Committee for taking the time to look through my application and offering me the opportunity to be on the waiting list. LMU still remains as my top school and if accepted off the waitlist, I would happily attend. LMU has distinguished itself as a top institution for Biology and I am continuously in awe reading about all the research projects offered. A research project is definitely something I see myself being a part of at LMU. I would like to thank the Office of Undergraduate Admission once again for reviewing my application, and I would eagerly matriculate if offered a position in the Class of 2019.

Sincerely…

I’d delete everything after “…I would happily attend.”

Do you send these via email or snail mail?

Agree with @Happy2Help. They already know how to tout their university and they know you want to attend. Send by snail mail in an eye-catching envelope (but don’t go overboard).

Add in specifics about how YOU will benefit THEM. If there’s a specific course or program you want to take, list it! (Just not in an obvious “fill-in-the-blank” manner).
IMO, by sending in a waitlist response, you are already sending the message that you would attend if accepted. I would omit the “yes, i will attend” type of statements.
