I was waitlisted by Cal Poly SLO for mechanical engineering. I mailed letters about my desire to go there, extracurriculars/work/awards (not available to put on the application), and my knowledge of drafting computer programs. One letter went to the admissions office, and the other to the dean of engineering. I’ll asked them to contact me so I can meet with them, but if they don’t call or email me later this week, should I call them? Opinions?

From what I’ve read, it is recommended to call to follow up after sending the letter.
