<p>does anyone know if BC will continue accepting people after the july 1st deadline? like, if a lot of people turn down their offer off the waitlist right before july 1st, will BC keep accepting people until they get their class of 2,250? i know a lot of seriously inconsiderate people who’re staying on the waitlist “just to see if they get in,” but knowing they wouldn’t go there. if people like this get accepted off the waitlist, but reject the offer, will BC accept more people, or will they just keep whatever size class they have on july 1st?</p>
<p>In today’s economy, every empty bed is lost revenue, so I would guess that EVERY college wants to meet its target class size. At $50k/year, ten empty beds is a loss of a half million dollars, but yet the marginal savings are minimal (essentially just food and utilities).</p>
<p>i was also wondering…for those of you still on the waitlist, did any of you notice a change on your agora yesterday? under Received Documents, i noticed that the names of some of the documents changed…for example, “Application Fee” changed to “BC<em>UGA</em>EAPPFEE”, “Waitlist Response Form” change to “BC<em>UGA</em>WAITLIST”, “Midterm Grades” changed to “BC<em>UGA</em>MIDTERM”, “BC<em>UGA</em>SHANS”, etc…did this change happen to anyone else? is this just part of some online maintenance, or is it a good or bad change? i’m sure i’m reading WAY too much into this, but i’m so anxious to hear, lol…did anyone notice a change like this, either yesterday or earlier??</p>

<p>HA! The same modifications were made on mine as well. I tried to look up “BC_UGA” on google and nothing came up. But yeah I’m feeling the same way you are…The anxiety is constantly building and I just want to find out already. Hopefully this change is a positive one.</p>
<p>I was accepted 2 weeks ago as a transfer student and I too had that change yesterday. If the application status changes to a menu that asks you to pay your deposit, that means your’e accepted.</p>

<p>Don’t get your hopes too high, however. Adcoms are smart folks and have years of experience to assist their class planning. Thus, if most years 10 kids drop off during August (for whatever reason), BC will target 2260 deposits by July 1.</p>
<p>I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but I don’t think that change means anything.
I was rejected from BC already but I just went on my old Agora to check if I had that change… I did. Good luck, though, guys! I’m hope there will be many valid indications of acceptance over the summer :)</p>
<p>yeah, changing the file names appears to be one of the many agora upgrades this year. Unless you have the proverbial sixth tab or a tab/link to pay your deposit to hold your seat, the WL continues. And don’t forget, the WL also depends on the program to which you applied (COSM, Arts & Sciences), and whatever hole they are trying to fill: left-handed oboe player from Montana?</p>
