Waitlist success stories

UPenn called me yesterday and said that there were a few openings for the School of Engineering and that they were considering me for one of them.

I just found out today that I was offered admission to the SAE!!!

However, I believe the SAE has just finished making all of its offers of admission that it will make.

I got in off of the Duke waitlist a few weeks ago - dunno if I’ll take it though.
Berkeley '12 :)

Jesus over 1000 replies, haha.

one of my friends attends St. Andrews School in Delaware and she said one of her good friends from school is waitlisted at Bowdoin and has been in contact with the school and was told he could be waiting into august. last year they apparently let people in that late.

Just got an offer from Tulane, have to decline. However they said that this was the last time they were going to the waiting list this admissions season

called boston college. they’re not going to send out anything till june 16th.
it’s actually going to be june 19th for me because i live in CA.
they really dont care how long this process takes. they’re taking their sweet time.

yeah im in the same position many of you are, being waitlisted is disappointing :(, waitlisted at the university of michigan, i had a 29 and a 3.75(5 ap’s) and got waitlisted but somehow two kids from my school mooched their way in, one had a 23 and a 3.75(no aps), and the other had a 24 and a 3.9(no ap’s)

Iggy48:
I was waitlisted by UVA. did he say anything about the numbers?

Any updates from LSA of Umich?

I think there will be very small numbers taken from the UVA waitlist --single digits if I had to guess.

i dont think it will be single digits, i think it will be teens or low twenties

.:Indian:., CONGRATULATIONS! duke and berkeley are both AMAZING schools… i, personally, would pick berkeley but you can’t go wrong either way : )

Haven’t read the whole thread, but Bucknell isn’t accepting people off its waitlist anymore…got my formal rejection today.

i called washu and they said there class is full and they dont think theyll be accepting any more but are keeping the waitlist till the entire period

The University of Pennsylvania hopes to complete the undergraduate wait list process within one to weeks, according to an assistant or secretary in my regional adviser’s office.

Princeton is still active, processing one at a time… See post #125 and #126 below:

Well, I’ve officially decided to give up on the wait-list for Pomona/CMC! The funny thing is, I’ve become so excited about the university I’ve chosen to attend that I couldn’t think of attending any other school!

Good luck to everyone who is still holding out in hope of getting off the wait-list!

Anybody heard from caltech. My son is on the wait list but now it really does not matter as he is getting IIT

no one has put up the long list of active inactive waitlists for a while

My son’s friend was notified that he was placed on an extended waitlist that might be used on an as needed basis until mid-summer.
