i just got the letter from boston college. i didn’t get in. o well. i’m in 2 TAP programs for priority transfer admissions to ucla and berkeley, so i’m good.

I’m still on three waitlists - Brown, Middlebury, and Rice’s. Does waitlist movement usually slow down a lot by this time, as in only a few acceptances are sent out in each wave of decisions?

i got into BC today!!! yay :]

i also got a letter from Colgate, they said there are no spots open right now but that I could stay on an extended summer waitlist (which I wont be doing)

but now im confused…University of San Diego (scholarship, honors program, xc team) or Boston College??

Congrats to all the people who got in after being wait listed good luck an to people who are still waiting well lets party cause i am on the same boat…

Any ways i wanted suggestions regarding something…I a thinking of calling Director of Admissions at GWU Masters in Finance program on monday…i wanted suggestion as to what i should say to her and also is it smart to do this…

I was thinking what is the worse that could happen they are just gonna say sorry we can’t offer you an admission rite? Its better than holding my other plans hostage just cause i am on a wait list at GWU…your input will be greatly appreciate…Thanks in advance!!!

^^Definitely call. Like you said, the worst that could happen is that they don’t accept you off the wait-list. Just be polite and inquire nicely if there is any possible wait-list openings or movement for a finance program applicant. Maybe say a few lines (but keep it short and simple) on how much you want to get into GW and why you think it is the best program for you.

Penn expects to be done with its undergraduate wait list in under one week!!

At this stage of the game, most of your top schools are finished with their WL. There will be the odd exception to fill in for summer attrition and students accepting other offers. But for the most part the 2008 admission season is history.

NicoleMarie—GO USD… they wanted you first, you’ve got scholarship, academics and xc team involvement. What more could you want? Can BC offer the same? Plus the weather’s better in CA

stanford is supposed to contact us by today, but i called them and they said they would know by early this week… i dont think they are taking any off though… MIT, here I come.

bump.
must…keep…thread…alive.

where are you waiting from, i fully agree, something will happen this week with waitlists

Since this thread is titled “Waitlist success stories,” let’s all get excited for our current schools.
And then if we get off the wait list, it will be even more great success!
Not all schools are finished with admissions, as previously mentioned by ST2 and emphasized by me.

For those who got formal rejections from Emory,
were u notified by email or mail?

I was waitlisted by Emory, but got no news yet… is it a good sign?

I am still holding three waitlists: Emory, Umich, Middlebury

If one of them accept me, I will definitely go.

800meters - You are right about not all schools being finished with WL. Just that I have been around this game for a while and realism dictates my statement above. By now, admission from the WL to top schools will be more the exception than the rule. At this stage the first several rounds of offers have been made and now it is more a function of summer melt than anything else. Sorry if that sounds negative, but now would be a good time to fall in love with the school that received your deposit.

anybody hear from Notre Dame this week?

Stanford took no one off of their waitlist… got my formal rejection this morning

That’s … shocking. What???

Is anybody else still waiting on Duke? I’m starting to feel like the only one who didn’t get called off of the Duke waitlist…

Goldberg2–I’m waiting from Dartmouth and Cornell Arts and Sciences. How about you?
