Waitlist success stories

DS got waitlist flush letter from Wm&Mary … five weeks after he wrote and asked to be removed from the waitlist. Kind of makes one wonder how up to date they keep the waitlist. He’s quite happy to be going to URichmond.

Anyone got any insight whether Northwestern is still working its waitlist?

Tufts, I got into Vassar off of the waiting list last month. but tufts is a much better fit for me

rer678 you’re not quite the only one. but i know the feeling. i’m still waiting too

rer678 and jaguars34 Daughter’s been on Duke waiting list also. Husband (alumnus) got a note today that final decisions are made and she will be getting a letter prob this week, not good news for her hope yours is better. She’s ok though because her first choice is still active… Continuing this nerve wracking wait.

anybody with any info on rice? is it still likely that they’ll take more people off? they did extend it from june 30th to july 15th but i dont know

Goldberg2, so is Tufts still active? I’m sorry but your post is unclear. Did you get in?

got a call yesterday from my region Rep at William and Mary, offering me admission!!!

No, Tufts hasn’t started with their waitlist yet. Every time I call, they extend their own deadline. Kind of annoying.

I just got into Dartmouth!!!

Congrats!! it seems like there may still be a chance for us after all =)

Congratulations to all with great news!

I gave up hoping that I’ll get off waitlist (though I still don’t have the strength to remove myself from it, lol).
What’s your secret in getting off waitlist this late?

Twin Ds have received waitlist rejection letters from BC, Notre Dame, and today from Wash U. Thank goodness time had healed the waitlist wounds. Those thin envelopes don’t hurt as bad today as they did last May.

JAKNd when did D’s hear back from Notre Dame?

For those who got formal rejections from Emory,

were u notified by email or mail?

Janice: Well, considering that my D got a formal rejection (by mail) from Emory, BUT NEVER ACCEPTED THE ORIGINAL WAITLIST,…you may want to call and find out what is going on (looks like they are a little confuseled down there)…if I had to guess, your letter was lost in the mail or (they never had you on the waitlist to begin with)…BTW, the letter did ask if you want to stay on some extended waitlist into summer…

Hey Guys I have a question, I called GWU guys at the MSF program. And it just went to the answering machine. Should i leave a message or just keep trying until some one picks up at the other end…

squantin01
letter from ND was dated June 16

My friend got waitlisted by a couple of schools. After RD, he was deciding between UNC and ND. After visiting both schools AGAIN, he finally decided on UNC a couple of days before May 1. Then, Cornell opened up for him. He searched his soul (well, I doubt he agonized that much…) and eventually stuck with UNC. He got roommate and everything set towards going to UNC. Then… DUKE opened up. He ditched UNC to go to the rival school. Haha, kinda not nice to UNC, but I urged him to go to Duke anyways (Duke was my dream school…). I’m glad he’s finally made up his mind and made a really nice decision.

Well, I don’t think he’s on any other waitlists still…

wow that is a real waitlist success story. Good for your friend, jenkster. He must have been a standout from the start. What is he hoping to major in?? just curious because one of my twinDs got off the Vandy waitlist and one not. Thought the schools they applied to made all the difference. BTW no official reject letter from northwestern yet… we were a waitlist failure story.
