He wants to major in economics. He’s heading the business direction. He really wanted to stay at UNC, which has quite a business program it seems, but he thought the quality of education at Duke will be much more rewarding for him.

I’m really sorry to hear that only one of your twins got in. How awful, especially if they want to stay together. Hopefully, you’ll hear good news from NW soon!

janice89: if I were you, I would call admissions and make sure you are on the extended summer waitlist (given that you didn’t get the formal notification of the class being full for now…)…
and I would get the name of the person you speak with…
we’ve had some weird experiences with their admissions office this year (my D had info requested before the ED decisions and she didn’t apply ED…they admitted that they thought she did…)…then she was placed on the waitlist without responding to the invitation…

cross your t’s and dot your i’s if you know what i mean…

fa-la-la-lena:
Hey thanks for the input about calling GWU. I called them up today, they told me that the MSF program at GWU is still active. Therefore i can still hope to get into the program…i am hoping to get the results in 2 to 3 days…a lady their told me she will send me an email!!!

I was wondering if anyone has heard anything about the UNC Chapel Hill transfer waitlist? I’ve called admissions multiple times and either reached the answering machine or been told to wait until June 30th. Has anyone heard anything? Thanks!

Anyone received rejection letters from these two schools? I suspect that they are through with the wait list but I haven’t heard anything… Doesn’t really matter as I am headed for UNC…

If your friend really works in admissions at a good college, you might advise him to be very careful with spelling & grammar on his blog. I would not be inclined to believe that an adcom from a top school would be so careless. Anyone can pretend to be an adcom from a top school when he is cloaked in anonymity. Readers, beware. I could be wrong, of course …

Your “best friend”? I don’t believe that. I think it’s you–the entry says to email “<a href="mailto:george88ab@yahoo.com”>george88ab@yahoo.com" with any questions, and that’s essentially your username.

If you’re going to try to plug yourself and your website, at least be honest and upfront about it.

i just got off georgetown’s waitlist this morning and they are giving me 24 hours to decide so i don’t know what i’m going to do… georgetown or villanova?
