Hi, im a transfer student thats on the waitlist for UCI transfers for the Software Engineering major. Does anyone know how the waitlist works or what’s my chances of getting in as a transfer?

Normally, you will not hear until after the SIR deadline of June 1. If there are open spots, then students will be pulled from the waitlist. There is no specific date that waitlisted students will hear, usually done on a rolling basis until all spots are filled and you usually have 5-7 days to accept or decline.
In the meantime, you need to enroll in another school until you hear.
If you are admitted, you can accept or decline. If you accept, you will withdraw from your original school and lose that enrollment deposit and then enroll at UCI and pay that enrollment deposit.
