Does Webster have a waitlist, if so how does it work? Also, if you’re denied admission to the program but are admitted to the school can you audition for the shows? Finally, if you’re denied admission to the program or waitlisted but don’t make it are you allowed to come back the next year and audition again?

MTDad777 I was going to wait to post, but no one has responded yet so I will tell you what I do know and what I don’t know.
I don’t know if they have a waitlist.
I do know that anyone can audition for the shows.
and I don’t know for sure if they allow you to audition again, but I don’t see why they wouldn’t.
I didn’t help much. I am hoping that the Representative from Webster will answer these questions for you in time. You can always email the theatre dept. with these questions.

This year, Webster does have a Wait-List for acceptance into the Conservatory of Theatre Arts. Students in this category were notified by letter.

I do not know the procedure for when, how, and why a student clears the wait-list. That is done by the theatre department. Final decisions will be made by May 15th.

Students who are denied admission to theatre, but attend Webster in a different major are NOT allowed to audition for shows. The program is closed to non-majors.

Current Webster students, and students who were previously denied admission are welcome to audition again.

Repster411 thank you for replying to MTDad777. I definitely had the wrong information!

Repster411, thanks for answering my question. The way you said “This year Webster does have a Wait-list” indicates that they usually don’t? Interesting too that I have not seen anyone post that they have been Wait-listed which indicates it must be small.

Some years they do a wait-list, some years they don’t. It all depends on the quality of the audition pool in a given year.
