<p>Well, I know of one slot open. My son just accepted a spot off the waitlist at Swarthmore, and won’t be attending Bowdoin after all. Good luck everybody - I know how anxious wait listing is…</p>

<p>They posted the class of 09 profile a bit ago, and it said that 483 people had accepted a spot. If I’m not mistaken, that is pretty close to the number that they are aiming for. I would imagine that waitlist spots will become available as a result of people leaving Bowdoin by getting off of other waitlists, not because they are underenrolled. I could be wrong though–I’m not sure exactly what number of students they want.</p>
<p>Geniusriki’s right… they were only looking for 480 (<a href=“News | Bowdoin College”>News | Bowdoin College) which means the 483 already satisfies that. Even the slot from bman’s son probably won’t do anything for the waitlist. This is not looking good, I’m sorry to say…</p>
