<p>If I’m number 3 on the waitlist for a class of 36 say math16A, do I have a shot of getting in? I’m not exactly sure what i"m supposed to do like say on the first day of class. Do I attend lecture and speak to the professor about it or what? This is in the summer btw.</p>
<p>for fall and spring the general experience is about 10% of class size is the cutoff for the waitlist clearing, but it can vary quite a bit with some classes allowing in very few. Not sure about summer however.</p>
<p>If on a waitlist, you attend and keep up with the work because if you don’t show, you are usually dropped from the waitlist and if you don’t keep up, you are in trouble if you get in a couple of weeks later.</p>
