I know its really early, but when do waitlist people start to find out their decision?

i think the letter from Northwestern says by June 30. When I went to visit, and admissions rep told me it would be more like late may-early june. as a fellow waitlister, i feel your pain of the unbearable waiting…and waiting…and waiting. i just want to know!

emsies, do you mean May 30th?

Hi everyone! I’m terribly sorry that you haven’t been accepted yet; as a deferred EDer, I know how you feel. Be sure to WRITE. TO. THEM! They love it! Update them on every single award. Don’t leave anything out! Tell them how you love Northwestern and are still VERY interested in them. Get killer grades your final semester and let them know you worked hard just to get in!

It sucks, it really does, but don’t give up now! Fight harder. I’m rooting for you all :)

xo

mediopollito- nope. the letter says: “all candidates on the waitlist will receive a final decision no later than June 30”. the waitlist is unranked, so i guess after may first when they know who will be attending Northwestern and what spots have opened up, they reevaluate everyone on the waitlist. june 30 does seem kind of late, but maybe the admissions office likes the deadline to be far off so they are sure they can make all their decisions by then.

Do a search here on CC for past years. in the last couple of years wait list acceptees have started to hear from NU at the end of the first week of May.
