@ VentureMan: It says on my Conditions of Admission that I have to pass my UC-transferable math course with a C or better by the end of Spring. I have a D in the class. My application is going to get rescinded because I didn’t pass one of the transfer requirements. I’m planning on retaking Statistics again in the summer, but I don’t think UC Davis is going to keep my application while I repeat my math course in the summer.

While your condition of admissions may say that… it still sounds like that is not the final word… you won’t know until you contact Admissions and work with them. The following excerpt article indicated that you have a breath of hope. But if you make the decision on your own that you are going to be rescinded, then yes, you will be. Hopefully they work with transfers as they do with Freshmen.

“Each summer, UC Davis contacts approximately 200 prospective freshmen who have failed to meet the conditions of admission. If students respond promptly, the Admissions Office can usually work with them to correct the problem, often via summer school classes.”

Yeah you gotta let them know and you can probably work something out. You will never know until you try.

It is worth a try. Was the AWPE alright?

Yep. Not as hard as I thought. The reading was really easy to understand. The prompt wad to just explain what the author’s view was and if you agree or disagree. It was about “societal forgetting” and it’s importance

I wonder if the next wave is the last wave.

If all the spots are filled after the next wave then maybe. But there will most likely be acceptances of few ppl after that (filling spots for rescinded or cancelled acceptances)

i sure hope all of us can make it in. Wish there were no budget cuts. Stupid california and budget cuts. I heard jerry brown wanted to cut more money to education. what an *******.

Fuhh freaking Jerry brown =__= we’re the future of America and they’re cutting education fundings. >.>

Don’t blame Jerry Brown… he does not create the budget… California’s House of Representatives do. Blame the House Republicans for not giving the citizens of California the opportunity to vote on extending the current sales taxes for another 5 years.

true dat, ventureman!

i doubt that if UCD is going to admit more people from waitlist…
has anyone got admitted off the waitlist after the first week of May?

^no, no one got in this week We’ll see this week. Who knows maybe they spent this whole week reevaluating candidates? sigh but if all the spots were filled they would’ve sent out rejections to everyone already instead of having us wait

I rather just get notified early if I’m getting rejected… So I don’t have to prolong the process for the other school I applied to. Right now I’m taking my time to submit stuff slowly that requires money… Just so I won’t spend too much money IF UCD did accept me which my hopes are really, really, really low…

^totally, i am hesitating to sign up for orientation and all these other required things right now because they all cost money. Going to orientation is already $110 plus my mom and brother (another $200). I just found out that i missed the deadline for the Statement of Legal Residence for UCSC =____= I emailed them so hopefully i’m okay. Ughhh my printer is having problems so i can’t even print out the form. I will print it out at school and mail it tmrw i guess.

Let’s see what happens this week, if we don’t get anything this week then…i think my hopes will really plummet.

OH MY GOODNESS…Get me in already, darn it!

it’s out… i didn’t get in. im gonna go and find something to wipe my tears with

^wait were u rejected or you just have to wait still?

Omg i didn’t get in…

it actually said they couldn’t offer me admission. yeah =/. im sorry
