Well, if I stay then I don’t have to worry too much about money. I can join sorority and study abroad.

that was my biggest fear too! sfsu was my safety and i was not looking forward to transfering 2 yrs later.

Do you think it would work if I take GEs in SDSU for 1st year then transfer to a UC? It seems difficult because they don’t have the same GEs. Does anyone know if this has successfully happened before?

@digitalrebel are you doing transfer from CC or going to SFSU?

And thumbs up if College confidential is another Facebook for you lol (I check it as often as Facebook now…)

Thank you, Matrix i really appreciate how supportive you’ve been and everything. Yeah, haha i was on the SB waitlist too. And i hope you have an exceptional future as well (:

syltutu : Hmm well if you go to CC your chances of transfering to say a school like UCB or UCI or UCLA would be higher. But you can also do that at SDSU, but you don’t get first priority like CC transfer would. But it’s definitely possible! If you go to SDSU you will get more of a college experience than at a CC and you will have an easier time getting classes. Does CCs get the most budget cuts?

digitalrebel got in from the waitlist, right. I’m pretty sure he/she did

I would think CCs got the budget hit also but they don’t require as much money to keep the facilities running.

Oh nvm then. Digitalrebel said something about SFSU, so I was confused.

thanks calimami (: yeah i cried earlier but with some cheering up from the bf (too bad he’s across country so he could only give an over the phone hug) and the friends i’m alright now. still bummed but im not crying over it anymore

I read somewhere that they are trying to make the CC transfer to freshmen ratio from 2.14 to 1 TO 2 to 1. Which means that it will be easier to transfer from CC’s in the future. Which may benefit me in two years. But who knows, a lot can change in two years.

@jojoyo neither. i was admitted from the waitlist on may 3rd. but just by reading these post i can already imagine how i would’ve felt. sfsu was were i SIR before davis said yes

Oh wait I meant freshmen to CC transfer ratio. Not the other way around.

I know with CC, you have to stay with them for 2 yrs to go to a UC. Does the same thing apply to CSUs?

That’s what my friend is doing. He said something about two years and he’s going to sjsu.

Hi Bookworm - I’ve been thinking of you too (see post #375). You’ve been so enthusiastic about Davis I think you drew a lot of people in to see what was going to happen. Again, so sorry. I’m not going to say any of that “things happen for a reason” bull because this all just plain sucks. Hang in there.

and if you factor in TAG’s (transfer admission grantee) then the CC route doesn’t look too bad i guess

If I do transfer, I can’t stay for more than a year because of the major conflict. Oh well, what’s over is over. We should still stay in contact, guys just to have a support system.

haha matrix thanks, yeah i dont really like it when people say that, my bf said it too and its kinda like ehhh id like to see this reason. but yeah i feel like the fact that they waited a whole week just to reject us makes it all the worst and how the denial was like 2 sentences. it just all seemed in very poor taste. and now my parents want me to go to a community that almost got its accreditation taken away… nice. anywho, thanks you

Well, tag stands for transfer admission guarantee. So it’s like ELC. We get in for sure basically. YAY!!!

I think this thread is/was a great support network. We should definitely keep in touch. After talking on here for awhile I didn’t crash and instead regained hope.
