Definitely! Lesson learned.
I also believe UCs waitlisted more students this year than they normally do. Probably a numbers game for them. But causing so much anxiety amongst deserving students
So she has three outstanding options (including SD), and if it’s down to SB and LA… she can’t make a wrong choice if she goes with her preferences/gut. Both are outstanding colleges.
Yes, this was undue stress for your very, very qualified girl. For my definitely not as crazy hardworking son, being waitlisted and then getting in at UCSB was “a matter of patience” and he was darn lucky. Your girl should’ve gotten in to a few UCs outright. But I’m SOOOOO glad it all worked out and I’m not surprised. Just wish she and you didn’t have to go through this stress. My 23 year old went to UCLA and LOVED it and so did we as parents. She’s got no bad choices but UCLA is so great–and the Hill and all the dorms and dining halls–what an experience. If you have any UCLA related questions from a parent POV feel free to DM me =)
@crknwk2000 Yay for your kiddo!
