OMG what’s gonna happen???
Will I be able to take these courses???

Well there are a lot of interp sections and they like to keep the classes somewhat small, so I don’t know that they let in a lot of people from waitlists. If you don’t have a particular interest in what they will be discussing in that section I would recommend signing up for a different one. Also, there are lots of CSW sections, so you should see if a different one fits in your schedule. CMU really wants people to take CSW, so it might be easier for you to get off the waitlist in that case.

A bunch of people drop classes and move between sections. You’ll be fine. If there’s an spot in a different section that’s convenient, switch, but don’t worry. Go to class the first day and talk to the professor.

I was waitlisted for 3 of my classes, but then I just moved sections around a little, and I managed to get all of my classes without any waitlists. Morning sections tend to be open, and half of the CSW sections are open. You can check class availablity by clicking on ‘section information’ and then the ‘GetIn’ button in the middle of the page.

Oh… thanks! I just made a change to my CSW course…
I’m gonna stay on English course, though…
This professor only has the good FCE… Dr. Wetzel …

uhh… what difference is one seciton of a course to another?

The time and the teacher; for minis whether its first or second half of the semester. For interp & arg there are different topics for different sections.

Cool thanks… I can’t wait to get Int + Arg done with (hopefully i got a good section).

don’t wait too much (i mean one week is enough, or maybe two weeks) for the waitlists, cause while waiting, other sections will be filled up and you may end up with a section that can cause a problem in your schedule.

i still don’t know my grade in the English Placement Test :(…so i can’t register for either 76-101 or 76-100…

go to blackboard, and click your grade for english test.
in the course placement results item, where points possible is 1
you will see either 0 or 1 under the “grades”

yeah i know that…but nothing is there…i gave the test a bit late…around 20th july…so i guess it’ll take more time…
