waitlisted:need advice

Hi
Im an indian student from Muscat, Oman.
I’ve been waitlisted too.
Although the letter I received says that there is no need to send any additional information, I just got the highest grade in the Gulf Chemistry Olympiad< conducted in the middle east>.

Should I send a copy of the certificate alongside my waitlist letter, or do you think sending it will make me look a little desperate?

Prashant

Did you already have sth of that type of award in your app already? If not, I’d advise you to send it, along with a letter reaffirming your interest in Princeton.
also plz don’t create a new thread if it’s not necessary…

hey blueriver575
thanks for the advice.
Na, I didnt send any award specifically of that type in the application…
Yeah, and sorry for creating the redundant new thread.

Prashant

Hey, are you the Prashant that sleeps on Matt/Ben@MITBlogs and trades Morse war with a certain Chris, if my memory serves me right?

Hey!
I used to sleep on Maat and Benn’s blogs, but after I got rejected, I kind of lost touch+ I had a few exams to give here in India…
I remember that Morse war thing, although I dont know morse code myself…
:)

I must say that I have a pretty good memory then.
I was also very disappointed when I learned that I was rejected from MIT. But anyhow, I got into Princeton.
Did you get any offers in the U.S.? You made a very strong impression on me on Matt/Ben blogs, that’s why I remember you. I wish you best of lucks with Princeton’s waitlist.
Hope to see you in NJ in September!

Yeah, I was gutted when I got rejected, and then I found out some other guy who’s scores and all were lesser than mine got in…
Guess thats the way the admissions process goes.
I got into Rice, but Im most probably not going, because it’s REALLY expensive…
Yeah, lets hope for the best for Princeton< although judging by last year’s waitlist stats, its a really long shot>.
How did you feel when you got youir Princeton admit?
