Hello!
My little sister has been wait listed at Harvard and has yet heard neither no nor yes, while it seems that the first round of rejection/acceptance off the wait list has already taken place.
We are waiting anxiously for the verdict, as it is our biggest wish to be able to attend college together.
She has so far had her teachers send in additional recommendation letters, and written a letter herself to her admissions officer.
It recently crossed my mind that I might do something for her too.

Do you think it would be helpful if I wrote a rec letter on her behalf? I know her personal and academic strengths better than any of her teachers/friends, and, having gone to Harvard for the past couple of years, I can safely claim that it is the right place for her and that she will thrive there as a valuable member of the community.
If not, would it make a difference if I visited the admissions office myself and spoke to any of the people involved in the process (I would try to convince them that she would be a great contribution to the school)? Would it make matters worse?

I would like to do as much as I can… please let me know what you think. Thank you!
