I am an international applicant. I have been waitlisted at the University of Rochester, Franklin & Marshal, and Furman University. I got accepted no where. The U of R has been my first choice, I have even chosen the ED2 plan. Should I prepare to take AP classes to apply with a gap year next fall? Does anyone know if the U of R is taking applicants of the waitlist this year?
AP classes won’t help. They are usually taken in high school. Taking them after the fact won’t help for your admission.
google the common data set for each school to see how many kids they took off the WL in previous years. you could do meaningful service or otherwise improve your test scores and take a gap year, or you could use the NACAC list: https://www.nacacnet.org/news–publications/Research/CollegeOpenings/ to see if there are colleges you could afford and like that you could still get into.

The U of R does not have a common data set. I was wondering if someone had official information about the size of their class this year.
