<p>Does anyone know approximately when we will receive notification if we have been accepted? Also, does anyone know how LMU chooses students off of the waitlist? Is the time you sent them a letter to accept your position of the waitlist a factor?</p>

<p>socal916, I’ve been waitlisted too. Did you check your LMU Portal to see if your status has changed to waitlist? I sent my letter in around the 2nd of April and it took a few days for the status to change. I talked to a admin counselor and he said that the waitlist is not ranked but he thinks that there is room for 200 students. Also, he said that business majors are filling up fast so it does depend on your major… Hope Poli Sci is … What are your stats? I have low SATs, 1560 but 3.98 uw GPA… Long story…</p>

<p>socal916, the person I spoke with said that it is not ranked but it is dependent upon the major you’ve chosen because some fill up faster than others. Not sure if psych is a popular major at LMU but I know that business is super popular according to the LMU counselor I spoke with.</p>
<p>I think that LMU sends out decisions faster than other schools because their Freshmen orientation begins in June… Your SATs are high but you GPA is a lil low. I am the exact opposite of you. High GPA and LOW SATs. If you really want to LMU, convey to them that it is your number 1 choice and that you would attend if accepted…</p>
<p>I was also waitlisted to LMU and am going for Psychology as my major. my stats: 3.6 gpa, 2090 SAT, 650 SatII english, 780 SatII Spanish. I do lots of AP’s and extracurriculars, so i dont understand why i wasn’t accepted.</p>
<p>You were waitlisted, most likely, because they thought you would not attend LMU due to your high stats… Did you call them or show any interest? I think if they knew you would attend, then they would have accepted you. I take it no one has heard from LMU yet in regard to being accepted off the waitlist???</p>
<p>One of my friends who was also waitlisted called the admissions office and was told that they would start sending out waitlist acceptances in the first week of may, or in other words, now. i think i mailed my letter a little late but hopefully it made it in time for the consideration.</p>

<p>Yes. I checked mine about an hour ago and it is changed to under review… Yikes… Nervous all over again. Signed up at Cal Lutheran but really want to go to Loyola…</p>

My SATs are CR: 730 M: 680 W:770
and SAT IIs: US His: 750 Lit: 710 French: 700
W GPA: 4.15 UW: 3.9ish
lots of APs and extracurriculars… so I think they probably did waitlist people who they thought wouldn’t accept an offer of admission</p>

<p>so I talked to an admissions representative today and she said that they had really overbooked their admission this year so they would not be accepting any people from the waitlist this year. =( O well everybody. I’m not too bummed though. I’m going to UC San Diego now!</p>

<p>Just got off the phone with admissions at loyola and i asked if they are accepting from the waitlist and she said that they don’t know yet but they will by next week. It could be that, jspartan92, space for psych applicants is full. But this admin person said they will not know until next week…</p>

<p>Let’s hope so. Also, I wish they wouldn’t change the PAW to under review. Was hoping it would go from waitlisted to rejected… But maybe under review is their nice way of saying not in until we get “the” letter… At this point, I am ready for anything…</p>
