^Ah, true about the extended WL - I guess I’ll take credit for being half right ;)

I got the same email too :(

SEAS.
International.
Applied with financial aid.

Did CC finish sending waitlist acceptance/rejection letters…? I haven’t received anything…

not yet… I didn’t get the email from CC

I got the same e-mail too.
SEAS. International.

So, Columbia will only be using wait list for CC…

No letter from CC yet…GAH! I wish they’d just reject me already!

Still no letter from SEAS…blarg.

SEE. I was right. adoring fan

omg I’m so popular :D

but yeah this wait is killing me. people are getting off the duke waitlist like crazy and im left uninformed :(

^lol, perhaps no news is good news?

Hi, I am a tour guide with the Admissions office. After reading this thread, I just want to clarify that Columbia released most of the SEAS waitlist, but the Committee is still reviewing candidates for Columbia College. Updated correspondence will be sent via email.

Thanks for the information.

Thanks, ColumbiaURC! I think everyone needed to hear that. Do you have any information as to when they might be done reviewing the CC waitlist?

What does being on Columbia University’s extended waitlist actually mean and how many people are actually accepted off the extended waitlist? Also how can you improve your chances of being accepted at this point and has anyone ever been accepted off the waitlist?

No one was accepted off the extended waitlist last year…

Hear hear! CC has definitely moved to their list!

A regional Columbia representative just called one of my shool’s counselors to ask about a wait listee’s level of interest. He said that CC is “moving to their wait list” and is “considering her [the student].”

Did anyone else get this message? I wonder how common this is!

^Maybe that person didn’t send in a letter? I thought that was how we were supposed to show our level of interest.

^ That would make sense. How horrible would it be if the guidance counselor went on a lunch break and never answered the call.

^Oh geez. Horror story! I’m sort of worried if they contact my counselor, though, she basically told me not to even bother going on the WL. So…yeah. Perhaps I should visit tomorrow and let her know that Columbia is my DREAM, just in case :p

No Columbia’s been her top choice and she did send in a letter in early may…
I guess the Columbia person just wanted to double check with the counselor…? But
I don’t see why unless the they’re seriously considering her.

^yea I would do that just in case!

Hi everyone. I’ve never posted on here before, but i’ve been following this thread since i was waitlisted at CC (domestic)… I just got my email today saying that “Your Columbia Admissions Decision” is now available, and I got in! No contact from my regional admissions officer, just an email, but hey that’s good enough for me :D
