Waive your right?

I've read that it's proper etiquette to waive your right (1974 act..blah blah) on your teacher recomms. For the Common App recomm sheet, there is no line to sign my name, so should I attach a piece of paper w/ my signature? I'm confused.

haha...same problem; i posted on the old board, but not much response...lemme know

I asked an admissions officer from Georgetown, and he said that it doesnt matter if you waive it or not, but then a teacher at my school said that if you don't waive the right, it sends a bad message to the schools, and says that you aren't confident enough in your transcript/recommendations or something like that. But I don't really think it's going to make or break your application.
