waived interview?

I hadn’t yet heard about my interview so i called the admissions office and they said they’d decided to waive my interview because they could get a representative in my area…

but i live about fifteen minutes from seattle…

any other people having this problem? especially in washington state?
could this just mean i’m basically rejected so why waste the time? (i have strong sats and gpa so i doubt i’d be automatically thrown into a rejection pile…)

any input would be appreciated

don’t sweat, it’s not your fault, the adcoms will know

Jennie, don’t worry at all about this - it means nothing. The same thing happened to my son in the EA round and he was admitted without an interview. Not sure why but I think the interview network this year was in complete disarray and it left a lot of kids worried without reason.
