Waived scores?

<p>i just got my pin and checked my status and for my SAT I and II scores it says they were reiceived by they were waived. what does this mean? i submitted ACT scores too so did amherst just think that my act scores were better than my sat scores? </p>

<p>online for “waived” it says the institution that you are applying to felt that you didn’t need these scores. (paraphrased)</p>

<p>I believe you answered your own question:)! Amherst felt your ACTs were stronger and are thus considering those in the admissions decisions, rather than the SATs.</p>
